What is servitization and how has it changed the business of packaging machines?

The term “servitization” refers to the transition of the industries from a product-centric business logic, mainly focused on selling products, to an enhanced service-oriented logic.
This approach can facilitate customer value creation by providing advanced services. All industries are embracing digital servitization, which allow them to be recognized as “solution-providers”. Servitization requires a customer-centric approach, in order to develop customized solutions for a better fulfillment of customer’s specific needs.

The path towards digital servitization has been accelerated and shortened because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, at Universal Pack, we were prepared to face this challenging situation.
