Innovation with a Clear Target

Innovation at Universal Pack has one purpose. It increases machine performance and reduces environmental impact. This focus guides R&D investment and has accelerated in recent years.

A strong example is the high speed, multi-lane sachet machine for pharma products in four side seal sachets. The platform delivers top output, high reliability, and stable production.

A recent upgrade also makes it the most eco sustainable solution in the portfolio. The development took place with Schneider Electric, a long standing partner.

Efficient technology, measurable results

Energy efficiency starts with component choices. The machine uses high-efficiency solutions such as SH3 brushless motors. These motors can deliver up to 20–25% energy savings versus traditional alternatives.

Supply-chain sustainability and transparent data

Sustainability increasingly acts as a supply-chain requirement, especially for global operations.

The integrated Schneider Electric solutions carry Green Premium certification. They also include a Product Environmental Profile (PEP). This supports environmental documentation and end of life guidance.

A more connected packaging machine

The high-speed sachet platform also features an Industry 4.0-ready architecture. Connected systems enable secure cloud access to production data from the installed base. This supports statistical analysis, preventive maintenance, and new service models.

The journey is supported by Schneider Electric software for OEMs, such as EcoStruxure Machine Advisor. Operator-focused tools, such as EcoStruxure Augmented Operator Advisor, bring useful information into daily work. They also support remote assistance for format changeovers and related activities.

Looking ahead

Development continues.

Next steps may include a machine-as-a-service model supported by a dedicated digital control room. Digital twin integration with existing design systems also remains a strong option. Schneider Electric technologies rely on open, interoperable standards. This supports smooth integration and helps protect long-term investments.

This direction reflects a clear roadmap. Packaging machines will become more high-performing, connected, and sustainable. The goal stays the same: create value today and over time.
