How to Calculate the Packaging Equipment Effectiveness?

Achtung! Der Inhalt dieser Seite ist nur in den folgenden Sprachen verfügbar: English - Italian

The OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) is a standard used to calculate the efficiency of packaging equipment and it is obtained as follows:

OEE = A x P x Q

where

A: Availability = Run time / Planned production time

P: Performance = (Ideal cycle time x Total count) / Run time

Q: Quality = Good count / Total count

Verification of the OEE is carried out during machine run and related to 20 minutes of testing in line.

When calculating the OEE there’s another value that must be considered: AQL (Acceptance Quality Level). AQL represents the percentage of acceptable flaws for each sampling; in the specific case of Universal Pack it may be associated with several factors such as: bag sealing, film alignment, carton flaws and so on in a production batch.
